Take another look at that James Johnson dunk on Andre Drummond
James Johnson's dunk on Andre Drummond was so nice last night that we need to check out all aspects of what happened.
By now, you've seen Andre Drummond's destruction by the hands of Toronto Raptors' forward James Johnson. The Detroit Pistons' center was simply trying to do his job when he went into work that night. He was attempting to own the paint that night, grabbing 11 rebounds and blocking three shots against the Raptors. He wasn't having a great night on the offensive end with just seven points on seven shots, but he was a defensive presence during the game.
That is until Johnson slid past his defender closing out to the corner, drove baseline, and then cocked back the ball as he went up for a dunk on Drummond as if it were a medicine ball he was losing control of as he moved his arm backwards. The hammer dropped by Johnson brought about some incredible angles of the dunk and reactions from players around the league.
I, personally, saw the Washington Wizards' locker room passing around a phone with a Vine of this dunk. Everybody had the same reaction. It was basically that face Stephon Marbury gave when Amar'e Stoudemire dunked on Michael Olowokandi. I think my favorite angle of Johnson's dunk is from the baseline.

And maybe my favorite part of this entire dunk experience is that the Raptors' bench went nuts and Terrence Ross was just screaming into the night.

You can check out the SportsVu movement of the dunk right below a .gif of the play to see how it developed and how it ended.

We miss you already, Andre.
