The BIG3, Ice Cube's 3-on-3 league for retired players, got underway over the weekend, with the first slate of games being played Sunday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

But the games don't actually air live, and are instead broadcast on tape delay on FS1, so we didn't get to see all of the action until Monday night. It was worth the wait, however, if only for the fact that we got to see guys fire up the vaunted 4-point shot.

The 4-point spots deep behind the 3-point line were one of the main draws of the league, but they turned out not to be as big of a draw as perhaps was expected, as during the first weekend of games, only four 4s were made. And two of them came from Mike Bibby.

Rashard Lewis and Cuttino Mobley also each got a 4-ball to go down, and you can see all of the successful efforts below.

That is a bomb, and when you're playing to 60 instead of a timed game, it makes more sense to just focus on getting points instead of trying to go for 4-pointers. Plus, I think we would see more 4s if this were full-court and teams were getting in transition. But in the half-court there are possessions where the ball is never even close to being that far away from the basket.

Still it's a pretty sweet little wrinkle, and hopefully we'll see a few more go down in the upcoming games.
