The Broncos have hired Wade Phillips as the team's new Defensive Coordinator, according to the Denver Post. The hire has been confirmed by the team.

Phillips interviewed for the position on Tuesday. He has a history with head coach Gary Kubiak. Phillips served as Kubiak's defensive coordinator in Houston from 2011-2013. He did not coach in the NFL last season. Phillips also served as the Broncos' head coach from 1993-1994. He compiled a 16-16 record.
