Jaguars running back Toby Gerhart is set to return to the starting lineup in Week 15 against the Ravens this Sunday, after Denard Robinson's season-ending foot injury was announced. However, that doesn't mean Fantasy owners should look to start him with the playoffs underway.
Robinson had usurped the role from Gerhart after Gerhart's struggles early in the season, but had failed to make much of an impact of late. In three games since the team's by week, Robinson has just 12 combined Fantasy points, while averaging 2.8 yards per carry. Of course, even at his worst, Robinson has still been better than Gerhart, who is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry for the season overall.
Gerhart just doesn't have the burst Robinson has shown this season, and since Robinson wasn't setting the world on fire lately, it's hard to expect much from Gerhart. With a tough matchup on the way in Week 15, against a Ravens defense that has allowed the fewest Fantasy points to opposing running backs, Gerhart should be viewed as a "Break in case of emergency" option, at best.
