De'Runnya Wilson: Lands tryout with New Orleans
Though initial reports indicated that Wilson was in line to sign with the Patriots, the wideout wound up landing a tryout with the Saints, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The Mississippi State product went undrafted after recording a 4.78-second 40-yard dash, but at 6-foot-5, 224 pounds, Wilson does have the kind of size that could translate into a degree of red-zone utility in the NFL if he is able to land a roster spot.

De'Runnya Wilson: Opts to sign with New England
Wilson has reportedly signed with the Patriots, CSN New England reports.
Wilson didn't time well in the 40-yard dash at either his Pro Day (4.78) or the NFL Combine (4.85), but his 6-foot-5, 224-pound frame offers hope that the Mississippi State product could develop into a red zone threat down the road. It would probably be an upset to see Wilson make the Patriots' 53-man roster out of the gate in 2016, but if he transitions well to the pro game in training camp, he could end up on the team's practice squad.
