  • Jordan Wilkins: Let go by Cleveland

Wilkins was cut from the Browns' practice squad Tuesday, Adam Caplan of Fox Sports reports. Wilkins signed with Cleveland's practice squad just one week ago, and the team has already decided to move on from the 29-year-old. In a corresponding move, the Browns signed running back Kenyan Drake to their practice squad Tuesday.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Back to practice squad

Wilkins reverted to the Browns' practice squad Monday. Wilkins was elevated ahead of Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, but he was a healthy scratch for the contest. He joined the active roster in case Jerome Ford (ankle) was unable to play, but Ford was active for the game. Wilkins will now continue to wait for his first appearance with Cleveland.

  • Browns' Jordan Wilkins: Inactive Sunday

Wilkins (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. The Browns elevated Wilkins from their practice squad ahead of Week 8 action, with Jerome Ford (ankle) listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. However, now that it has been confirmed that Ford will be available, Wilkins won't be needed after all, with Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong also available in Cleveland's backfield.

  • Browns' Jordan Wilkins: Promoted to active roster

The Browns elevated Wilkins to the active roster Saturday. Wilkins' elevation comes with Jerome Ford (ankle) listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks. Wilkins signed with the Browns' practice squad Tuesday after being let go by the team at the end of training camp ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. If Ford is unable to suit up versus Seattle, Wilkins should slot into a depth backfield role behind Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Could serve as third back Sunday

Wilkins will be called up to Cleveland's active roster Sunday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Wilkins was signed to the practice squad earlier in the week, as the Browns prepare depth at a position beset with injury. The report assumes Jerome Ford (ankle) will sit out Sunday against the Seahawks, but he showed positive signs during late-week workouts and is deemed questionable for the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Ford is out, Wilkins, who is getting up to speed on the offense, would likely be added to the 53-man roster and serve as the third back behind Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Returns to Cleveland

The Browns signed Wilkins to their practice squad Tuesday, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports. Wilkins spent this past offseason with Cleveland, but he ended up missing the team's 53-man roster and getting released in late August. The 29-year-old's most recent in-game action came with the Colts in 2022, and throughout his five-year NFL career, he's recorded 1,009 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Let go from team

Wilkins was released by the Browns on Sunday. Wilkins joined the Browns on Aug. 12 after Jerome Ford suffered a hamstring injury. However, the veteran running back was unable to convince the team to keep him with cut-down day looming. The Ole Miss product will now seek another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Browns' Jordan Wilkins: Ford injury presents opportunity

Wilkins is getting extra reps as the Browns deal with an injury to projected backup running back Jerome Ford (hamstring), Dan Labbe of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Wilkins had three carries for 18 yards and caught his lone target for eight yards in last week's preseason tie against the Eagles. That was his first game since joining the Browns earlier this month. Ford's injury presents an opportunity for Wilkins, who is competing with Demetric Felton, John Kelly and Hassan Hall to become the third back. Ford is not practicing this week and will not play in Saturday's preseason finale against Kansas City. His status for Week 1 of the regular season remains murky, so two of the competitors could be active when the Browns open the season at home against the Bengals.

  • Browns' Jordan Wilkins: New home in Cleveland

Wilkins has signed a contract with the Browns, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. This news comes one day after he worked out with the team, so he clearly made an impression. Cleveland is in the running back market because its No. 2 option, Jerome Ford (hamstring), is currently week-to-week. The 29-year-old Wilkins spent time on the practice squads of both the Colts and Titans in 2022, and he suited up for four games with the former.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Getting look from Cleveland

Wilkins will work out with the Browns this week, Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 Houston reports. The Browns are perusing the market for another running back while the current No. 2 option on the depth chart, Jerome Ford, is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury. Wilkins spent last season on the practice squads of Tennessee and Indianapolis, the latter whom activated him for four games.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Gets eight touches in loss

Wilkins had six carries for 23 yards and two receptions for 14 yards in Sunday's loss at the Giants. Wilkins played on 10 of the offense's 58 snaps and had more carries than Deon Jackson amid a blowout loss. Meanwhile, Zack Moss had 15 carries in a starting role. Wilkins could get a significant share of the playing time in the season finale this week against Houston, but it's hard to predict what the Colts will do on offense in a meaningless game.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Signed to active roster

The Colts signed Wilkins to the active roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Wilkins was elevated for Weeks 9 and 10, totaling six rushing attempts for 31 yards while securing four of five targets for 15 yards across 21 offensive snaps. However, he'll get an official spot on the active roster with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on IR for the remainder of the campaign. Wilkins figures to serve as a depth option behind Zack Moss and Deon Jackson.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Rejoins practice squad

The Colts sent Wilkins back to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Wilkins played just three offensive snaps in Sunday's Week 10 win over the Raiders, but he was fairly productive in the limited role, turning three carries into 18 yards. He actually tallied the second-most totes among Indianapolis running backs, as Jonathan Taylor (60 snaps) functioned as the workhorse with 22 carries for 147 yards and a touchdown. Wilkins' chance to be elevated again Week 11 may depend on whether Deon Jackson (knee) is able to play.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Three carries in backup role

Wilkins had three carries for 18 yards in Sunday's win at Las Vegas. Wilkins played just three snaps on offense, and Zack Moss played just one snap, as Jonathan Taylor (60 snaps) got almost all the playing time now that he's healthy and Nyhiem Hines has been traded. Wilkins looks like the primary backup as long as Deon Jackson (knee) is out, but that may be a very small role barring another Taylor injury.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Elevated from practice squad

Indianapolis elevated Wilkins from its practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at the Raiders. It will be the second consecutive week Wilkins is active for the Colts after he picked up 28 scrimmage yards on seven touches in Week 9. After Week 10, he will be eligible for only one more elevation from the practice squad before he would have to be signed to the team's active roster in order to suit up.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Week 10 Adds (RB Preview)

If Jonathan Taylor and Deon Jackson remain out, we projected 15 touches for Wilkins, which could put him in the high-end flex range. I wouldn't be surprised if Wilkins split the work with Zack Moss in that situation.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

Wilkins could be the starting running back for the Colts this week at Las Vegas with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Deon Jackson (knee) banged up. I'm not sure, given the coaching change in Indianapolis, if Wilkins will get the majority of touches or share with Zack Moss (7 percent rostered) or Phillip Lindsay (3 percent). Moss was inactive in his first game with the Colts in Week 9 at New England, and Wilkins ended up as the lead running back for Indianapolis behind Jackson with three carries for 13 yards, along with four catches for 15 yards on five targets. This offense is in disarray, so Wilkins would be a flex option at best if he starts against the Raiders. But given the potential volume, he's worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Reverts to practice squad

The Colts reverted Wilkins to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Wilkins saw his first action of the season in Sunday's Week 9 loss to New England, playing 19 of 62 offensive snaps and finishing with three carries for 13 yards and four catches on five targets for 15 yards. His presence was needed in the absence of Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and with Zack Moss not yet ready to play following his trade to the club. Wilkins' chance of another elevation in Week 10 will likely hinge on Taylor's availability, though Phillip Lindsay is also on the team's practice squad and could receive consideration if Taylor is sidelined.

  • Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Totals 28 yards in season debut

Wilkins rushed the ball three times for 13 yards in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Patriots. He added four receptions on five targets for 15 yards. Wilkins was active for the first time this season and operated as the primary backup to Deon Jackson. His day was highlighted by his work as a pass catcher, as he led the team with four receptions -- though none of those looks came down the field. It's unclear whether Jonathan Taylor (ankle) or Zack Moss (ankle) will be active for a Week 10 matchup against the Raiders, and their status will likely dictate Wilkins' opportunity in that matchup.

  • Jordan Wilkins: Joins Indianapolis' practice squad

Indianapolis signed Wilkins to its practice squad Wednesday. Wilkins was drafted by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2018 Draft and rushed for more than 300 yards in each of his first three seasons in Indianapolis. However, he saw just one offensive snap across five appearances -- split between Indianapolis and Tennessee -- last year and ended the 2021 campaign on the Titans' practice squad.
