  • J.T. Ibe: Cut by Carolina

Ibe was let go by Carolina following an illegal hit during Tuesday's practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Ibe was sent off the Carolina's practice field, and later cut, after he delivered an illegal hit to the head of Keith Kirkwood. Head coach Matt Rhule called Ibe's hit "completely unacceptable" and "not what we'll do." Kirkwood was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, but he has since been released after doctors diagnosed him with a concussion. Ibe sounded remorseful, telling the Charlotte Observer, "I was so in the moment, I didn't even realize it." It may be difficult for Ibe to find a new team after his actions in Carolina.
