Cedric Thompson: Released by Minnesota
The Vikings released Thompson on Tuesday, Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Thompson was drafted by the Dolphins in 2015, but failed to make the team. After spending the year on Miami's practice squad, he moved on to New England last offseason before signing with the Vikings' practice squad late in 2016. He evidently didn't show enough to stick around with the Vikings through training camp and will now attempt to find an opportunity with another organization.
