  • Buccaneers' Raven Greene: Lands in Tampa Bay

The Buccaneers signed Greene (shoulder) to a contract Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports. Greene arrives in Tampa after having spent the last three seasons in Green Bay. He notched a career-high 44 tackles (28 solo) to go with 1.5 sacks, five pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble in 10 games in 2020 before going down with a shoulder injury. Greene should be a reliable depth player for the Buccaneers, but he doesn't have a clear path IDP relevance.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Hitting free agency

The Packers will not tender Greene (shoulder), making him an unrestricted free agent, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Greene and the Packers could still come to terms on a new contract, but he'll be free to test the open market. The 26-year-old is coming off the best year of his career, having recorded 44 tackles (28 solo), 1.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble across 10 games. He suffered a season-ending shoulder injury Week 13.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Sits out NFC Championship Game

Greene didn't play during Sunday's loss to the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game and totaled seven tackles in two games this season. The 24-year-old sustained an ankle injury Week 2 and moved to injured reserve until being activated Saturday, but he didn't see the field in San Francisco following the extended layoff. Greene was seeing starter's-level snaps as the team's third safety prior to the injury, and he should enter training camp with a solid chance to reclaim that role with Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage working as the starters.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Won't return this weekend

Greene (ankle) wasn't activated off injured reserve Saturday and won't be available for Sunday's divisional-round game against the Seahawks, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Green was designated to return from injured reserve and began practicing at the start of January, but he won't be joining the active roster for the divisional round. The 24-year-old can still be activated next week should the Packers advance to the NFC Championship Game.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Returns to practice

Greene (ankle) is participating in Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Greene spent the majority of the regular season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury suffered Week 2. His return to practice kicks off a 21-day window for the Packers to evaluate him for activation to the 53-man roster. If Greene were able to retake the field during the postseason, his versatility on defense would allow him to provide valuable depth in Green Bay's secondary.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Won't return

Greene (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Greene was carted off the field in the third quarter and initially deemed questionable to return, but his day will now be officially done. It's unclear how severe the injury is, and the Packers will deploy Will Redmond in Greene's place for now.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Listed as doubtful

Greene (ankle) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Michael Cohen of The Athletic reports. Greene suffered an ankle injury during last week's loss to the Seahawks and has not participated in practice since. The undrafted rookie appears on track to sit out Sunday's tilt against the Vikings, leaving Ibraheim Campbell as the top backup to starting strong safety Tramon Williams.

  • Packers' Raven Greene: Makes two big plays in first extended action

Greene recorded his first career sack and also ran for 26 yards on a fake punt in Sunday's victory over the Dolphins. Greene had been limited to special-teams duty all year before Week 10, but thanks to injuries and roster changes he was on the field for 30 defensive snaps and a season-high 81 percent of the special-teams snaps, and he responded with a couple big plays.
