The Colts were in need of offensive line depth after starting center Ryan Kelly (knee) suffered an injury Sunday. According to reports, Kelly is expected to miss Week 12, so Andrews could certainly see snaps for the Colts on their offensive line against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Andrews (ankle) was waived with an injury settlement by the Vikings on Friday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Andrews has been dealing with an ankle injury since mid-August and was waived/injured at the start of September. The 27-year-old reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers, but can now join another team after reaching the injury settlement.
Andrews (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's preseason game against the Seahawks.
Andrews continues to battle an ankle issue that surfaced in last week's preseason contest. He will miss an opportunity to prove his worth Thursday, which doesn't bode particularly well with the preseason cuts just around the corner. He will look to get back for the preseason finale next Thursday.
Andrews is dealing with an ankle injury after leaving Saturday's preseason loss to the Jaguars in the third quarter, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Andrews was replaced at center by Cornelius Edison, who started the game in place of the injured Nick Easton (neck). The severity of Andrews' ankle issue is unclear at this point, but an update regarding his status should become available in the next few days.
