Giacomini (knee) was released by the Raiders on Monday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Following Donald Penn's acceptance of a pay cut, it became an easy decision for the Raiders to part ways with Giacomini. The 32-year-old yields exudes experience and could latch on elsewhere relatively soon.

Raiders' Breno Giacomini: Sidelined by knee injury
Giacomini has missed much of the early portion of camp due to a knee issue, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Giacomini is in the mix for starts at right tackle this season, but missing a chunk of time during the preseason won't help his case for the job. He missed practice again Monday and there is no indication of when he may return to the gridiron.

Raiders' Breno Giacomini: Misses preseason opener with injury
Giacomini didn't play in Friday's preseason opener because of an undisclosed injury, NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Giacomini was brought in to provide the Raiders with some depth on the offensive line, but the well-traveled lineman will now have to work his way back to guarantee a spot on the 53-man roster.

Raiders' Breno Giacomini: Signed by Raiders
Giacomini signed with the Raiders on Thursday, the Raiders' official site announced.
Giacomini is set to join his fifth different team in his 11-year career, after logging previous stints with the Packers, Seahawks, Jets and Texans. Last season the veteran started all 16 games at right tackle for the Texans but allowed nine sacks, eight hits and 64 hurries according to Pro Football Focus.

Texans' Breno Giacomini: Signed by Houston
Giacomini (back) was signed by the Texans on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Giacomini, who was released by the Jets in February, will add depth at right tackle for the Texans in 2017. The 10-year vet underwent back surgery following the 2016 season, so he figures to be somewhat limited throughout the offseason.
