Blackhawks' Jacob Nilsson: Inks one-year extension
Nilsson agreed to terms on a one-year, $700,000 contract extension with the Blackhawks on Friday.
Nilsson's extension will keep him with the Blackhawks organization through the 2019-20 season. The 25-year-old forward posted solid numbers in 2018-19, notching 32 points in 61 AHL appearances, but there's no reason to believe he'll be able to secure a regular role with the big club anytime soon.

Blackhawks' Jacob Nilsson: Returned to minor-league affiliate
The Blackhawks reassigned Nilsson to AHL Rockford on Friday.
Nilsson appeared in two games during his brief stay with the big club, averaging just 7:51 of ice time while posting a minus-2 rating over that span. The Swedish pivot will likely remain in the minors unless the Blackhawks are once again in need of reinforcements down the middle due to injury later this season.

Blackhawks' Jacob Nilsson: Promoted to top level
Chicago recalled Nilsson from AHL Rockford on Saturday.
The Blackhawks reassigned Luke Johnson to their minor-league affiliate in a corresponding move, so Nilsson will round out the team's depth up front for the foreseeable future. The 25-year-old Swede has notched six goals and 14 points in 31 AHL appearances this campaign.
