  • Capitals' Lynden Lakovic: Adds to WHL goal lead

Lakovic scored twice and added an assist in WHL Moose Jaw's 6-5 win over Saskatoon on Friday. Lakovic is up to 16 goals in as many games, putting him three tallies ahead of the next closest WHL skater. This was his fifth multi-goal effort of the season, and he has an active nine-game point streak for the Warriors. Lakovic's at 23 points this season, so it appears his playmaking is taking a step back while his goal scoring continues on at a breakneck pace.

  • Capitals' Lynden Lakovic: Three points in Saturday's loss

Lakovic scored a goal on three shots and added two assists in WHL Moose Jaw's 6-4 loss to Prince Albert. Lakovic is up to 13 goals and 18 points through 14 games this season. This was his first multi-assist effort as well as his fifth performance with two or more points. The Capitals prospect was getting his offense through a high shot volume early in the season, but he hasn't had more than five shots in any outing during his active seven-game point streak, so he's looking a bit more efficient now.

  • Capitals' Lynden Lakovic: Piling up goals

Lakovic scored two goals on four shots in WHL Moose Jaw's 6-2 win over Saskatoon on Friday. This was Lakovic's third multi-goal effort in eight games. He's added just two assists so far, but his shot is his best asset, so it makes sense that he's a finisher. The 18-year-old will still need to round out his game -- he also has a minus-2 rating on a Warriors team that leads the WHL with 46 goals scored.

  • Capitals' Lynden Lakovic: Two goals in WHL win

Lakovic scored twice and added 10 PIM in WHL Moose Jaw's 6-4 win over Red Deer on Friday. Lakovic is off to a stellar start in 2025-26 with five goals and two assists in five games. He's showing why the Capitals spent a first-round pick on him in June and promptly got him under contract on an entry-level deal. Lakovic's offense should continue to develop this year, giving the winger an outside chance of making the jump to the NHL in 2026-27, though more time in the junior ranks won't be a bad thing to round out his game.
