It's hard to see how Illinois will get a bigger win in November than what transpired Thursday afternoon.

John Groce and the Illini signed five-star power-forward Jeremiah Tilmon, who's ranked as a top-25 player in the class of 2017. This means promising things for the future of the Illini, as Groce is now starting to bring a lot of optimism and momentum to the basketball program.

Tilmon is the highest-ranked player Groce as brought to Illinois in his five seasons with the school. He plays at Illinois' East St. Louis Senior High School.

This is a boon, considering Tilmon caused Illinois fans to fret after not initially signing a National Letter of Intent.

"We are thrilled to officially welcome Jeremiah to the Illini family," Groce said in a press release. "He has been a top priority for our program for a number of years. Jeremiah has tremendous size, talent and skill. He is a dominant big with unlimited potential."

At 6-foot-10, 245 pounds, Tilmon will be a boon in the front court next season for the Illini. With him joining four-star guards Da'Monte Williams and Trent Frazier, Illinois' class now ranks 10th in 247 Sports' composite.

Illinois is 3-0 and plays host to Detroit on Friday.
