Mitchell passed his physical Friday and has been removed from the active/non-football injury list, per the NFL's transaction log.
Mitchell was sidelined to start training camp due to an undisclosed injury, but he's back to full strength and should resume practicing soon. The undrafted 24-year-old out of Purdue totaled eight tackles in 16 games during his rookie campaign last year and played primarily on special teams.

Mitchell has landed on the Patriots' active/NFI list due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Mitchell logged just eight tackles in 16 games during his rookie campaign in 2022 and was primarily a special-teams contributor. He projects to see a similar role in the upcoming season, assuming he ultimately earns a spot on the final 53-man roster.
