2016 Outlook: Adam Eaton
Adam Eaton
A Fantasy darling since the days he was first breaking in with the Diamondbacks, Adam Eaton finally began to live up to the billing in 2015. He's still not as big of a base stealer or as much of an on-base threat as hoped, but he's decent in both areas and upped his home run output from one in 2014 to 14 last year. Of course, most of his owners didn't stick it out with him long enough to benefit from it. Much of his production came via a monster second half in which he hit .335 with a .904 OPS. His .412 BABIP during that stretch suggests it was too good to be true, but if you assess him on his full-season numbers, you have a pretty good idea what he brings to the table, provided his offseason shoulder surgery (arthroscopic) doesn't delay his start. No. 3 outfielder sounds about right.
