Angels' Justin Upton: Beginning rehab stint

Upton (toe) will start a rehab assignment with High-A Inland Empire on Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

This marks a significant step forward for Upton, who successfully took live batting practice Wednesday. He's been on the shelf since the start of the 2019 season due to turf toe.
