The Angels designated Robertson for assignment Sunday.
The 28-year-old was claimed off waivers from the Cardinals in mid-August, and the Angels elected to dump him from the 40-man roster after he surrendered 12 earned runs over 13 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake. Robertson could remain with the affiliate if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
