Taylor was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Taylor is hitting .167 with a pair of homers in 10 games for Oakland and Toronto this season. He'll make way on the 40-man roster for Anthony Kay, called up to make his big-league debut in a corresponding move.
