Cain is set to play in his first spring training game Tuesday against the White Sox, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Cain was noticeably dinged up in Milwaukee's 2021 postseason series against Atlanta, dealing with shooting pain from his neck down to his left arm due to a collision with the outfield fence, but he's ready to make his spring debut after a much-needed offseason. The 35-year-old would figure to be in line for plenty of scheduled rest days to help alleviate some of the toll an MLB season takes on a veteran player, especially one who has appeared in only 83 games since 2019 after opting out of the 2020 shortened season.
