Cubs' Greg Deichmann: Outrighted to Triple-A

Deichmann cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Deichmann was cast off the 40-man roster Saturday, but he'll remain in the organization. In eight appearances for Iowa this year, he's hit .207 with a double, three RBI, a run and a steal.
