Buschmann was outrighted to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Buschmann was designated for assignment last week as the team made room for new addition Edwin Escobar. The 32-year-old made his MLB debut earlier this season after logging more than 1,300 innings in 10 minor league seasons, but he will return to the minors for now.
