Rojas was designated for assignment by the Giants on Friday.
The 29-year-old was cut from the Giants' 40-man after they claimed Taylor Jones off waivers from Houston. Rojas has shown promise in Triple-A with a .916 OPS on the season, but his success has yet to translate to the major leagues.
