Justin Grimm: Released by Royals

Grimm (shoulder) was released by the Royals on Saturday, Maria Torres of The Kansas City Star reports.

Grimm missed time with both shoulder and back issues this season, and he allowed 19 runs over the 12.2 innings he was able to pitch. His career ERA sits at 5.02 after 351.1 innings, so he's unlikely to generate a ton of interest as a free agent.
