Mariners' Denard Span: Out against southpaw

Span is not in the lineup Tuesday against the A's.

As per usual, Span will retreat to the bench with a southpaw in Brett Anderson toeing the rubber for the opposition. Guillermo Heredia will cover left field and hit eighth in his stead.
