Mariners' Erick Mejia: Assigned to minors camp

Mejia was assigned to minor-league camp Saturday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Mejia will begin the 2022 season with Triple-A Tacoma after signing a minor-league contract with the Mariners in late February. The 27-year-old played in 17 games with the Royals over the last two seasons, batting .143 with two doubles and four RBI in 38 at-bats.
