Marlins' Peyton Burdick: Undergoing MRI on toe

Burdick underwent an MRI on his sprained right big toe Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The severity of Burdick's injury and his expected return date should become clear once the results of the test are known. The outfielder hit .207/.284/.380 in his 32-game debut last season and was competing for a bench spot at best even before the injury.
