Mets' Tim Peterson: Heads back to minors

Peterson was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The right-hander tossed 2.1 scoreless frames and struck out one in Sunday's game against the Brewers, but with Justin Wilson (elbow) returning from the injured list, the Mets will send Peterson back to the minors.
