Knapp was scratched from the lineup Thursday against the Brewers due to illness, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Knapp was scheduled to give primary catcher Roberto Perez a rest in the afternoon game, but Perez will be called upon after all. Assuming Knapp feels better soon, he'll likely give Perez a day off within the next few days.
