Rays' Adam Conley: Designated for assignment

Conley was designated for assignment by the Rays on Sunday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

The move allows Tampa Bay to add catcher Rene Pinto to the 40-man roster. Conley logged a 2.29 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB in 19.2 innings last season, so he could be claimed by another team.
