Rays' Grayson Garvin: Outrighted from 40-man roster

Garvin was outrighted off the 40-man roster Friday.

The Rays needed to clear room on the 40-man roster and Garvin was a casualty. He posted a 3.77 ERA in 20 starts (74 innings) at Double-A, but the big lefty is not much of a prospect, and could wind up being a reliever long term.
