Cotham (shoulder) is set to begin a rehab assignment Thursday with Double-A Pensacola, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Cotham, who's missed nearly a month of action due to shoulder inflammation that cropped up in May, is now set to begin the final hurdle in his rehab program. The 28-year-old will now head to the Reds' Double-A affiliate where he'll likely make several relief appearances before possibly being bumped up to Triple-A for a final tune up. If he doesn't encounter any setbacks, the right-hander could return to Cincinnati's bullpen before the All-Star break.
