McCarthy stole a base and scored a run in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.
McCarthy was out of the lineup for the first time this season, but he entered the game in the eighth inning as a pinch runner. He immediately swiped second base and then came around to score the tying run. McCarthy is now 4-for-4 on the basepaths despite collecting only two hits across 19 at-bats to begin the campaign.
