Rockies' Michael Toglia: Rises to Double-A

The Rockies promoted Toglia from High-A Spokane to Double-A Hartford on Sunday, Dave Nichols of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.

During his time at Spokane, the switch-hitting first baseman slashed .234/.333/.465 with seven stolen bases and a High-A West-leading 17 home runs. The 6-foot-5, 226-pound Toglia has also drawn favorable reviews for his defensive work at first base in addition to his power production at the dish. He'll likely remain with Hartford for the rest of the season.
