Royals' Brooks Kriske: Joins Royals organization

The Royals signed Kriske to a minor-league contract Thursday, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

Kriske pitched 36 moderately effective innings with Japan's Yokohama DeNa BayStars in 2022. The year before, he had a 14.29 ERA in 12 MLB appearances with New York and Baltimore, so he has more work to do to prove he's worthy of a 40-man roster spot.
