Royals' Tyler Cropley: Designated for assignment

Cropley was designated for assignment by the Royals on Monday.

Cropley got the chance to spend the weekend with the big club, but the Royals removed him from the major-league roster after Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays and announced the move one day later. Assuming he clears waivers, Cropley will report to Triple-A Omaha.
