Wei-Yin Chen: Declines qualifying offer

Chen declined the Orioles' qualifying offer and remains a free agent, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.

He is seeking a multi-year deal after posting career-best marks in ERA and WHIP over 191.1 innings in 2015. Despite a sub-40 percent groundball rate and a middling strikeout rate, Chen has been a two-plus WAR pitcher in each of his first four seasons, and the lefty has been able to remain mostly healthy to this point.
