Guzman (knee) signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Sunday that includes an invite to major-league spring training, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Guzman has seen a steady downturn in major-league playing time across the last four seasons, and he played in just seven games during the 2021 campaign due to a torn meniscus. It's not yet clear whether he'll face any limitations to begin spring training, but he'll serve as a non-roster invitee in 2022 as he attempts to get a fresh start with the Yankees. The 33-year-old has appeared in 33 games with the Rangers across the last two seasons, and he hit .282 with five homers, 11 runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base during that time.
