Guzman was diagnosed Tuesday with a pronator strain in his left forearm, Evan Webeck of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Guzman will not require surgery, but this injury is going to put a hard pause on his pursuit of a relief role in San Francisco. The 28-year-old former first baseman had been impressing with high-90s velocity this spring. There's no exact recovery timetable at the moment.
