  • Sam Haggerty LF | TEX

Rangers' Sam Haggerty: Steps in against lefty

Haggerty started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over Philadelphia.

Haggerty, who replaced Evan Carter against a lefty, singled and scored in the third inning. The former occupies the short end of a platoon, as Carter has struggled against southpaws. The switch-hitting Haggerty, who is better against lefties than righties, was eventually removed when a right-handed reliever entered the contest. In a minor role for the Rangers in 2025, Haggerty stole 12 bases in 64 games, the third time in the previous four seasons he's reached double-digit steals in a part-time role.

  • Brandon Nimmo CF | TEX

Rangers' Brandon Nimmo: Logs first HR as Ranger

Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Phillies.

Nimmo gave Texas a lead it would never relinquish with a two-run home run in the third inning, his first in a Rangers' uniform. He was one of three new employees that contributed to the win along with Andrew McCutchen (HR, three RBI) and winning pitcher MacKenzie Gore (two runs, seven Ks, 5.1 innings). The early returns are positive for Nimmo, who also contributed to Saturday's win and went 4-for-12 out of the leadoff spot in winning two of three on the road against Philadelphia.

  • Jordan Walker RF | STL

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Goes yard in three-hit effort

Walker went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double and two additional runs scored Sunday's 11-7 loss to the Rays.

Walker turned in his eighth career game with at least three hits, smashing his first homer of the year in the process. The 23-year-old was once one of the top prospects in all of baseball, and he profiles as a post-hype sleeper of sorts during his fourth season in the big leagues in 2026. Walker is set to be St. Louis' everyday right fielder moving forward, but he may need to move up a bit in the batting order to increase his fantasy upside.

  • Joey Wiemer CF | WAS

Nationals' Joey Wiemer: Homers again Sunday

Wiemer went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run, a triple, a walk and an additional RBI in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Cubs.

It was the first career triple for Wiemer, who's off to an impressive start with his new club. The 27-year-old has gone a perfect 6-for-6 with a pair of long balls in two appearances for the Nationals so far. Jacob Young's standout defense may be enough to keep him in the top spot in center field, but Wiemer is capable of playing the entire outfield and is pushing for more at-bats in the early going.

  • Drew Waters CF | KC

Royals' Drew Waters: Outrighted to Triple-A

Waters was outrighted to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Waters was designated for assignment by the Royals on Wednesday, and he will now head to Omaha after clearing waivers. The outfielder played in 71 contests with Kansas City in 2025, batting .243 with a home run, 14 RBI, 21 runs scored and five stolen bases, and he'll likely get another shot with the major-league roster down the road this year.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Clutch homer in Sunday's win

Yelich smacked a three-run home run during the Brewers' 9-7 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

The lefty-hitting Yelich opened Sunday's game on the bench due to the White Sox sending southpaw Anthony Kay to the mound for the series finale. Yelich was brought in as a pinch hitter in the eighth frame, and he finished off the Brewers' six-run inning with a towering, three-run home run to right field. He is off to a terrific start to the 2026 campaign, going 6-for-10 with five RBI and one steal over his first three games.

  • Ian Happ LF | CHC

Cubs' Ian Happ: Homers again Sunday

Happ went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Nationals.

Happ and Alex Bregman accounted for all of Chicago's offense Sunday, with Bregman going deep twice and Happ once. For the latter, it was his second long ball in as many games. Happ is locked in as the Cubs' No. 3 hitter most days, and with a strong lineup around him that was boosted by the offseason addition of Bregman to bat second, the veteran outfielder could be in store for an excellent fantasy campaign.

  • Jordan Beck OF | COL

Rockies' Jordan Beck: Drives in three runs Sunday

Beck went 1-for-4 with a three-run double during Sunday's 4-3 loss to Miami.

Beck provided the Rockies all of their runs in the first inning with a bases-clearing, three-run double to left field off Max Meyer. Beck has gone 2-for-7 with four RBI and a walk over his first two games of the regular season. He's looking to improve on his 2025 campaign, when he posted a .733 OPS with 19 steals (on 27 attempts), five triples, 16 home runs and 53 RBI across 587 plate appearances.

  • Wilyer Abreu CF | BOS

Red Sox's Wilyer Abreu: Homers again Sunday

Abreu went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

Abreu gave the Red Sox an early lead with a two-run blast in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old is off to a torrid start, going 6-for-13 with four extra-base hits and four RBI while starting three straight contests. He posted a .247/.317/.469 slash with 22 homers last regular season and could take a step forward with manager Alex Cora planning to deploy him more often against lefties in 2026.

  • Orioles' Johnathan Rodriguez: Traded to Baltimore

The Orioles acquired Rodriguez from the Guardians on Sunday in exchange for right-hander Carter Rustad, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Cleveland designated Rodriguez for assignment Wednesday, but he'll reclaim a 40-man roster spot by moving to Baltimore. He'll likely begin his tenure with the Orioles at Triple-A Norfolk after slashing .312/.397/.515 across 373 plate appearances in the minors last season.
