Yelich went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, two steals and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Orioles. Yelich had his fourth game this season with three hits and his first game with multiple steals. All three of his hits on the evening had an exit velocity of over 100 MPH, although he is still in search of his first home run since May 14. Yelich now sits tied for seventh in baseball with 16 steals, putting him well on pace to set a new career high in that category after he had 30 in 2019. The 31-year-old's batting numbers are hovering right around the range of where's he's been the past two seasons. He's now slashing .258/.355/.399 with seven homers, 25 RBI, 41 runs and a 29:54 BB:K over 245 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less

Brewers' Christian Yelich: Sidelined with back tightness
Yelich (back) is not in the lineup Tuesday night against the Cardinals. Yelich will grab more rest and treatment after departing Monday night's series opener at Busch Stadium due to back tightness. Brewers' Christian Yelich: Dealing with back tightness
Yelich was removed from Monday's game against the Cardinals due to back tightness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. It initially appeared as though the Brewers pulled the left fielder in the seventh inning due to the lopsided score, but skipper Craig Counsell mentioned after the game that Yelich's back has been "a little bit tight." While this appears to be a precautionary move by Milwaukee, his status will be worth keeping an eye on heading into the second game of the series Tuesday evening, especially given his history with back issues.... Yelich went 3-for-5 with a home run, two total runs and two total RBI in Thursday's loss to Colorado. He knocked in another run with a single in the ninth and finished the day with his third three-hit performance of the campaign. Yelich's strong effort was much needed, as he had been in cold stretch entering the contest, batting just .160 (4-for-25) over his previous eight games.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Christian Yelich: On bench Sunday
Yelich is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels. Yelich is 1-for-15 across his past five games and will receive a day to reset Sunday. Brewers' Christian Yelich: Gets first day off
Yelich is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners. Milwaukee is concluding its series in Seattle with a day game after a night game and the Mariners are bringing a southpaw (Marco Gonzales) to the bump, so Brewers skipper Craig Counsell likely viewed Wednesday's contest as a good opportunity to give the lefty-hitting Yelich a breather. Owen Miller will pick up a start in left field while Yelich sits for the first time all season.... See More ... See Less -

Yelich went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday's victory over the Padres. Strikeouts have been a major issue for Yelich early, but he has hit either first or third in every contest and is tied for second in the league with 13 runs.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Christian Yelich: Clubs first homer of season
Yelich went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-1 win over the Cardinals. Yelich notched his first three-hit game and slugged his first homer of the season. Yelich is 7-for-26 (.269) with two home runs, two doubles and a 3:6 BB:K through 10 appearances this spring. The seven hits are not a lot, but four of them have gone for extra bases, and he owns both a .345 OBP and .922 OPS during the exhibition season. Yelich has hit leadoff in each game he has appeared in this spring, so all signs point to him occupying the top spot in the batting order when the regular season gets underway next week....
