TEAMS   TO   WATCH

Indiana and New Jersey have struggled recently. Philadelphia and Minnesota are among the hottest teams in the league. All four teams will hit the road for four games in the upcoming week. ... The Pacers have currently lost six in a row, their worst stretch of the season. Their schedule won't get any easier. Avoid using any Pacer not named Jermaine O'Neal or Brad Miller. ...The Nets are also reeling and haven't been able to capitalize on the Pacers' struggles. New Jersey lost three consecutive games before defeating the Knicks. Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin will be the only safe starts. ... Philadelphia has currently won seven in a row and is quickly gaining ground on the Nets in the Atlantic Division. Allen Iverson has given Fantasy leaguers the usual respectable effort recently, but Eric Snow and Kenny Thomas have increased their productivity. Consider starting these two in larger leagues. ... Kevin Garnett is in the midst of his best statistical season. He has been carrying Minnesota during a stretch that has seen them win 13 in a row at home, averaging 28.3 points, 14.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists in February. Wally Szczerbiak and Troy Hudson are starting to come around as well and are now good starting options in most leagues.

The following five teams have the best matchups for the upcoming week. That doesn't necessarily mean they will post the best Fantasy stats, but if you're looking for a one-week start or are trying to make a difficult decision between two players to use, lean toward players from these teams:
Team MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN
Boston Celtics (BOS) @MEM -- NY -- LAC -- SA
Boston is 18-10 at home.
Chicago Bulls (CHI) ORL -- -- GS -- LAC --
Chicago has won four of its past six home games.
Detroit Pistons (DET) -- HOU -- -- -- -- GS
Playing both of its games at home should benefit Detroit. The Pistons have played eight of their past 11 on the road.
Miami Heat(MIA) -- MIL -- -- DAL DEN --
The Heat's upcoming opponents have a combined road record of 35-60
Los Angeles Lakers (LAL) -- -- IND -- MIN -- PHI

Denver Nuggets (DEN) -- @ATL @MEM -- -- @MIA @ORL
Denver is 3-26 on the road.

It's tough to make a final decision on players who are battling injuries and are listed as day to day. Here's our look at which banged-up stars should remain in your lineup during the upcoming week:
Go ahead, start 'em Play it safe, sit 'em
Elton Brand (leg): He should be well enough to play before the end of this weekend.
Scottie Pippen (knee): The versatile veteran might return to action on Feb. 28.
Caron Butler (flu): He is expected to play on Feb. 28, but has lost 10 pounds and might be too weak to be effective.
Mike Miller (back): A sprained back might sideline him for all of the upcoming week.
J U M P   S H O T S
Juan Dixon will get even more playing time now with Tyronn Lue injured and should be a useful guard in larger leagues. ... Eddy Curry has done a solid job so far in his return to the starting lineup. The second-year player has showed flashes of brilliance in the past before flaming out, but he is worth the gamble now, especially if you are in a larger league. Curry is averaging 21 points and six rebounds in his three games since rejoining the starting lineup and should be a good No. 2 center. ... With his team in the midst of a five-game losing streak, Pistons coach Rick Carlisle has decided to shake up his lineup. Reserve Jon Barry is out of the playing rotation for now while rookie Tayshaun Prince will get more minutes. This move has very little Fantasy value right now, but keep an eye on Prince. Carlisle might consider starting him at small forward ahead of Michael Curry. Prince started earlier this season, but was removed because of inadequate defense. He was pretty impressive on defense Thursday when matched against Kobe Bryant briefly, holding him without a field goal. Prince could be a useful forward in larger leagues if inserted into the starting lineup. ... Jumaine Jones joined the Cleveland starting lineup on Feb. 25 and had 14 points and 12 rebounds. He should be a quality fourth Fantasy option if he remains a starter. However, Carlos Boozer, the player he replaced, will be useless if he continues to come off the bench.
