Nets head coach Steve Nash said Harris will undergo left ankle surgery later Monday, but the veteran wing is expected to return this season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Nash said Harris will have an arthroscopic procedure to address "a little bone particle" in his left ankle, a surgery that will likely keep him sidelined for 4-to-8 weeks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Patty Mills, who is averaging 18.2 points (on 57.9 percent shooting from the field) during his last five starts, is expected to continue replacing Harris on the top unit. The likes of DeAndre' Bembry and Cam Thomas are also likely to handle increased roles for the foreseeable future.
