Flames' Derek Ryan: Waived by Calgary

Ryan (finger) was waived by the Flames on Tuesday, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.

This move will enable Calgary to move Ryan between its active roster and taxi squad freely whenever he's ready to return from his finger injury. For now, the veteran forward remains on long-term injured reserve.
