Luff wasn't given a qualifying offer by Detroit, which means he will become an unrestricted free agent Saturday, per Max Bultman of The Athletic.
Luff had two goals and four points in 19 outings with Detroit in 2022-23. He also recorded eight goals and 25 points in 28 AHL contests with Grand Rapids.
