This is pretty wild -- Erik Compton finished second in his second major ever and had over 300 text messages on his phone Sunday night.
Compton's story of being on his third heart became a national story over the weekend and he became the darling of Pinehurst on Sunday as crowds roared his birdies and tried to will him to victory.
Here's a look at the photo he tweeted out after the festivities on Sunday:

Pretty cool stuff from Compton after one of the greatest weekends of his life. He talked on Sunday about what the crowds were like.
"Seemed like people really got around my story," he said. "And for me to be here and to do this at such a high level is just as good of a feeling as winning a golf tournament. So it's just a great feeling and I can't wait to get back into another major."
And he gave some pretty great advice for everybody there fighting their own battles.
"You can't ever give up. I mean, we all have adversity in our lives, some are different than others."
