Justin Rose tied Dustin Johnson Sunday with his sixth win in as many seasons. The two golfers have the longest current streaks of consecutive years with a win on the PGA Tour.
Rose won the Zurich Classic by one over Cameron Tringale (who shot 65!) and two over Jason Day. It's Rose's first win in New Orleans, and it took a 66 in the final round to do it. Rose finished at 22 under on the week.
That 66 included birdies on the final two holes including this gem at the par-5 18th.
Justin Rose was definitely not leaving this one short. What a 72nd-hole birdie. #QuickHits http://t.co/ywvuVtcPYJ

"When you do miss the odd birdie putt you feel like you're going backwards," Rose told CBS' Peter Kostis after his round. "All week I kept trying to tell myself to try to stay patient.
"To make those two putts on the last two greens made up for everything."
Rose didn't make a bogey after the first round and, playing two rounds on Sunday, shot these four nine-hole scores:
33
33
33
32
It was barely enough to win on a rain-soaked slow TPC of Louisiana course. And for Rose, it's another piece in what has been a tremendous last half-decade.
Most @PGATOUR wins since beginning of 2010: Rory McIlroy 9 Tiger Woods 8 Justin Rose 7 Bubba Watson 7 Dustin Johnson 7

Of golfers 34 and younger, only McIlroy, Johnson and Adam Scott have more PGA Tour wins than the Englishman.
Rose went on to credit another sports superstar for inspiring his win.
Pretty sweet: @JustinRose99 says he got inspired by @StephenCurry30 after going to the Warriors/Pelicans game when Steph caught fire.

Your thoughts on the week, Rose?

Our grades for the Zurich Classic.
Rickie Fowler: F
As a top-15 golfer in the world, Fowler shouldn't be missing cuts. He especially shouldn't be missing Zurich Classic cuts.
He's right about his putting. Fowler gained -3.77 strokes in the only two rounds he played. Yieks!
Just didn't score well the first two rounds...my swing is really good right now...need to stick my putter in the oven and heat that thing up

Finish: MC
Jason Day: A
Day continues to crush at insurance-sponsored events. He won the Farmers Insurance Open and had a real shot down the stretch here. He's rolling right along into his defense at the Match Play Championship.
Finish: T-4
Dustin Johnson: C+
A soft course with plenty of eagle opportunities in which the leaders cracked 20 under and Johnson never got involved? DJ could only muster a 68-72 weekend outing which is pretty surprising.
I thought he was going to crush here but he finished 59th in strokes gained putting which (obviously) is not going to get it done.
Finish: T-43
Justin Thomas: A-
I continue to be in on this rook. Only a third-round 72 undid his shot at taking down Rose. His other three scorese were 68-66-66. He still finished in the top 15 for the second straight week.
It's only a matter of time.
Finish: T-12
Other notes from the tournament...
• This is awesome.

• This was a surprisingly fun event. Even with the lack of big names and woeful weather, the stars turned out late on Sunday and made it a good appetizer to the Match Play Championship and Players Championship back-to-back stretch we have coming up.
• This is some high-level sauce.

• Cameron Tringale's swing might be flatter than Matt Kuchar's which is insane.
• I wonder if anyone has ever won a tournament on the ninth hole. They didn't switch the groups back after the third round and were playing split tees so technically it could have happened.
