Aphibarnrat posted another steady 72 while Garcia, Willett and Lowry all fell back on Friday. At four off the pace, any under par rounds from this group on Saturday would likely reel in the leaders a bit.

T15. Jason Day (+1): Day, like the rest of the field, could never get anything going on Friday. He's still in the hunt at five back but will need a terrific round on Saturday to feel truly in contention on Sunday.

T23. Justin Rose (+2): The 2015 co-runner up put up double hockey sticks on Friday with a 77 to fall from 3 under to 2 over. His chances aren't totally dead, but he must make a big move on Saturday.

T42. Adam Scott (+4): A very solid 72 on Friday kept Scott around for the weekend. His chances of winning might be done, but he can still take low Aussie status away from Jason Day.

57. Bubba Watson (+6): You can put the jet back in the hangar for two more days, Bubba. The only player that finished Friday at 6 over gets to stay for the weekend thanks to Spieth's late bogeys.
