The fact that Lyle Overbay managed 14 home runs over 445 at-bats for the Yankees in 2013 shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as he had six seasons of 15 or more home runs in his days of regular at-bats with the Brewers and Blue Jays. His .240 average was pretty much expected, as were his 24 doubles. If Overbay is given a chance to see regular at-bats in 2014, he becomes a nice single-league end-gamer -- a quiet source of power and counting stats. But that scenario seems somewhat unlikely, and Overbay will likely be relegated to backup duty, as he was in 2011 and 2012. He can be left undrafted in most formats.
