Aramis Ramirez's 2,000th hit a home run

Brewers slugger Aramis Ramirez produced his 2,000th career hit with a solo home run in the second inning Wednesday against the Cubs. Ramirez, who ranks 15th in hits among active players, added an RBI single in the sixth inning.

Ramirez is batting .417 (5 for 12) in his last three games after being mired in a 3-for-32 slump in a nine-game span from June 10-21.
